Job summary

HBH Wellness in Baltimore is seeking a Medical Biller to join our in-office team. You will work closely with clients to answer questions related to billing, process all forms for insurance billing, and collect necessary documentation from clients.

The role requires demonstrated experience with Maryland Medicaid and programs, Carelon, EVS, Medicare, and knowledge of relevant ICD-10 codes. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and is comfortable

Qualifications

• Experience with Maryland Medicaid and related programs.
• Experience in medical billing or coding.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in obtaining MD insurance through private insurance and Medicaid/Medicare.
• Process required forms from the insurance and billing records.
• Submit claims through Availity and other channels to secure payment.
• Assist patients with signing forms and navigating billing procedures.
• Coordinate with doctors’ offices and hospitals to obtain charges and billing details.
• Enter all billing and payment data accurately into the system.
• Follow up on invoices and payments as needed.
• Answer phones, respond to questions, take messages, and screen calls.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Generate detailed reports to ensure staff compliance.
