Job summary

Gulfshore Life Magazine in Bonita Springs, FL seeks a Managing Editor to shape daily operations and the editorial system. This on-site, full-time role asks for strong leadership, top-editing instincts, and a track record of building scalable workflows for multi-issue production.

You’ll partner with the Editor-in-Chief to guide writers and editors, manage calendars, and ensure high editorial quality across lifestyle coverage, from arts & culture to food & wellness.

Qualifications

• You have built workflows that scale editorial teams and multi-issue production.
• You can top-edit with clarity and maintain high editorial standards.
• You communicate with calm authority and meet deadlines.
• You mentor fellows, interns and junior editors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full production calendar across monthly issues, special editions, newsletters and digital production.
• Anticipate pressure points and adjust timelines, workloads and expectations before problems arise.
• Keep the team aligned on deadlines, deliverables and next steps.
• Identify where workflows can be streamlined without compromising editorial quality.
• Shape and elevate drafts across sections including design, arts & culture, food & wine, wellness, profiles and services.
