Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant and recent work experience in the legal field.
• Litigation experience is required.
• Paralegal Certificate; Associate degree or higher is preferred, but not required.
• Advanced experience with e-filing and e-service in state courts.
• Fundamental knowledge of legal terminology, state and federal court procedures.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn new programs and systems.
• Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
• The ability to anticipate schedules and deadlines and move projects forward.
• Exemplary planning and time management skills.
• Should be able to work under deadlines and have some flexibility in work schedule to meet unforeseen demands.

Responsibilities

• Drafting/file pleadings for a variety of cases.
• Communicate with courts, clients, opposing counsel, and counsel for co-defendants, as needed.
• Manage and update case activity to assist attorneys with case monitoring and client reporting.
• Assist with prepping files for hearings/trials, as needed.
• Accurately record and maintain billable hours.
