Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• 0 - 2 years related work experience or training preferred.
• Strong customer service background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track prescriptions written by physicians and maintain a daily log.
• Supervise prescriptions to ensure e-prescribing compliance with Medicare guidelines.
• Greet patients at the IOD window and explain the dispensing system.
• Verify patient coverage and bill according to insurance.
• Input prescriptions using Pioneer and verify claim accuracy.
• Obtain prior authorization for rejected medication claims and follow up.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.
