Allstate is seeking an Early Career Trial Attorney to join our in-house legal team in Virginia. You will handle bodily injury and property damage cases, including arbitrations, mediations, and occasional trials, while advising internal clients and coordinating across legal teams.

You will monitor evolving laws and regulatory changes to keep strategies sharp, and contribute to training programs that expand your skills in a dynamic, challenging environment.

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctorate and Virginia State Bar membership in good standing.
• Strong time management and ability to balance multiple deadlines.
• Experience in legal research, writing, and discovery processes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, LexisNexis, TeamConnect and legal case management software.
• Knowledge of professional ethics and conduct standards.

Aufgaben

• Manage all stages of insurance defense litigation from inception to verdict, including discovery and courtroom advocacy.
• Gather and organize documents and evidence for hearings, trials, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries and reports.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Interview clients and witnesses and maintain communication records.
• Attend hearings and depositions; may represent the company on routine matters.
• Monitor legal changes and update the team on potential impacts to cases.
• Participate in training and mentorship to develop skills.
• Provide legal opinions to claims clients.
