Job summary

IMI is seeking an Experienced Construction Estimator to bid structural and miscellaneous steel for commercial and industrial projects, including government contracts and high-rise developments. This in-house, full-time role offers benefits and a collaboration-driven environment in Colorado.

Your work includes analyzing cost data, preparing detailed bids, and using Tekla/PowerFab to produce competitive proposals while coordinating with project managers.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze cost data to prepare high-quality bids.
• Experience with structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Fluency in architectural and structural bid documents.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to build relationships and sell the bid after submission.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and compile cost data to ensure a high-quality bid.
• Produce detailed bids using company format identifying scope, materials, shop and field labor.
• Develop competitive bids using Tekla/PowerFab software.
• Review bids with project managers and hand off scope clearly.
• Balance multiple bids and communicate status to stakeholders.
