Job summary

Fred Loya Insurance Agency seeks a motivated Legal Assistant to join our in-house counsel team. You will organize files, manage the legal calendar, draft pleadings and letters, and coordinate with clients, adjusters, courts, and reporters to support litigation activities.

Ideal candidates have strong organizational skills, proficiency with state e-filing, and the ability to work independently, with bilingual English/Spanish being a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant.
• Proficient with the State E-filing system.
• Proficiency in all aspects of civil litigation process and rules.
• Computer literacy essential.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain case files and documents.
• Manage legal calendar, deadlines, and input data into the file system.
• Draft legal documents, letters, pleadings, motions, and orders.
• Interface with clients, claims adjusters, and court personnel.
• Review and distribute mail and emails as required.
• Assist in trial preparation and related tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
