Job summary

ThreatLocker is seeking a Junior Employment Law Attorney to support its Legal and Employee Relations teams in Orlando, Florida. This in-house role offers early-career attorneys the opportunity to advise on workplace matters, draft employment documents, and support employment compliance.

Under the guidance of senior legal leadership, you will develop practical experience, manage confidential information, and collaborate with HR and managers across the company.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar and eligibility to practice in the role’s jurisdiction.
• 1–3 years of legal practice experience, including meaningful employment law.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Professional judgment and discretion handling confidential matters.
• Ability to collaborate with HR, managers, and other business teams.

Responsibilities

• Research federal, state, and local employment laws and translate findings into practical guidance for HR and management.
• Assist/Lead matters involving employee relations, performance management, discipline, termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, accommodations, and leaves of absence.
• Draft and review employment agreements, offer letters, separation agreements, employee handbooks, workplace policies, and related documents.
• Support internal workplace investigations, including reviewing records, preparing interview questions, and documenting findings.
• Assist with wage and hour compliance, employee classification, and other employment practices.
• Help prepare responses to agency charges, administrative complaints, demand letters, and employment disputes under senior attorney supervision.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and assist with litigation, document preservation, and discovery.
• Monitor employment law developments and recommend updates to policies, practices, and training.
• Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and maintain organized legal records.
