Job summary

Impact Scale LLC is seeking a pragmatic, in-house General Counsel to oversee legal operations, risk management, governance, and compliance across multiple entities. The role partners with executive leadership to balance protection with growth in a high-volume performance marketing environment.

You will provide practical business-forward strategies, collaborate cross-functionally with finance, tech, and compliance teams, and craft scalable contract frameworks while proactively isolating

Qualifications

• Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is strictly required.
• Licensing: Active bar membership in good standing and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive legal practice experience in corporate law, commercial transactions, or regulated consumer spaces.
• In-House Background: Prior experience as in-house counsel or fractional general counsel is preferred.
• Industry Acumen: Knowledge of lead generation mechanics, data compliance, advertising, finance, or related regulated spaces.
• Core Attributes: Strong negotiation, business acumen, discretion, and a fast-moving, solutions-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal counsel and strategic guidance to executive leadership across global initiatives and entity structures.
• Oversee corporate governance, state filings, entity structuring, and compliance across multiple entities.
• Develop and maintain internal legal policies, compliance procedures, and operational safeguards.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel and oversee budget for corporate legal matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts and client-facing structures.
• Build scalable, automated contractual processes to support rapid company growth.
• Conduct due diligence on strategic transactions and potential acquisitions.
