Job summary

ABM is seeking an In-House Counsel, Commercial Law, to join its Legal Department. This role may be based in Austin, Texas or Phoenix, Arizona, with a minimum three days per week in-office.

You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including MSAs, vendor and service contracts; provide business-focused legal advice; and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ABM's operations and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• 2–5 years of commercial law experience, in-house or firm.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, vendor, and service contracts.
• Provide practical legal advice on contractual obligations and risks.
• Support corporate governance and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, Operations, Finance.
• Manage disputes, outside counsel, and litigation oversight when needed.
• Assist with regulatory compliance matters.
