Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a mid-level Attorney for an in-house Counsel position in Fairfield County, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in general construction law, including drafting and negotiating consulting documents, and managing risks in the construction industry. This role requires a Connecticut license or admission in another jurisdiction with waiving capabilities. This is not a hybrid role; presence in the office is required five days a week.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in general construction law, in-house or law firm.
• Licensed to practice in Connecticut or admitted to a jurisdiction allowing waiver.
• Strong understanding of construction industry insurance coverages.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate consulting documents for construction projects.

• Oversee project and cost management for various construction projects.

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working on an EXCITING in-house Counsel-level Attorney role in Fairfield County. Our client is a real estate consultancy in search of a mid-level Attorney with 6+ years of experience with the below:

• General construction experience - in-house or law firm is required.
• Experience with drafting and negotiation of various professional consulting documents.
• Experience with identification and management of risks related to the construction industry.
• Experience with project management, construction management, cost management, and consultant agreements
• Experience with insurance coverages in the construction industry including professional liability, commercial general liability, auto, builders’ risk, and cyber liability.
• Experience with general corporate matters including corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

Candidates must be licensed in Connecticut or ADMITTED in a jurisdiction capable of waiving into the Connecticut Bar. This is NOT a Hybrid position: 5 days in the Fairfield County office.
