You will craft transactions, shape contract strategy, and provide practical guidance to non-legal teams while growing with a rapidly scaling energy tech startup.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of legal experience with strong exposure to commercial contracts and transactional matters.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in California or eligibility to register as in-house counsel.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with ability to manage complex agreements independently.
• Commercial judgement to translate legal issues into practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, technical environment with evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including supplier, vendor and technology contracts.
• Support infrastructure, project, and financing-related transactions for large-scale deployments.
• Partner with senior leaders on contract strategy and risk to enable rapid business execution.
• Support corporate transactions and financing activity, including venture financings and equity matters.
• Advise on regulatory and compliance issues; collaborate with external counsel when needed.
• Support government contracting and relationships with public-sector customers and agencies.
