Venbrook seeks an experienced Corporate Attorney to support retail and wholesale brokerage, underwriting, and claims services. The role emphasizes litigation management, insurance defense, and practical guidance across business units.

The ideal candidate will bring transactional expertise, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to partner with internal teams and outside counsel in a dynamic, multi-state environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience in insurance, brokerage, claims, or financial services.
• In-house experience within an insurance, brokerage, claims, or related financial services organization preferred.
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Experience supporting multi-state regulatory and operational compliance.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Provide legal support across retail and wholesale brokerage, underwriting and claims operations.
• Manage and oversee litigation matters, including insurance defense and claims-related disputes.
• Supervise outside counsel with cost control and alignment to business objectives.
• Review, draft, and negotiate complex insurance-related and corporate agreements.
• Advise internal teams on regulatory compliance and operational risk.
• Assist with dispute resolution, arbitration, mediation, and settlements.
• Monitor insurance law developments and advise leadership on impacts.
