Job summary

Confidential in New York is seeking the firm’s first in-house Controller to build the finance function from the ground up and own accounting, consolidation, treasury, and regulatory finance across a multi-entity platform.

The ideal candidate will bring 8–10 years of progressive finance experience, hands-on fund accounting, and a CPA. You will partner with leadership on budgeting, planning, and scale as the firm grows.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Experience at multi-platform investment firms or large financial institutions.
• Hands-on fund accounting experience.
• Treasury and regulatory finance operations experience.
• Designing and implementing finance processes and controls.
• Multi-entity accounting and consolidation experience.

Responsibilities

• Build the finance function: bring bookkeeping, accounting, compliance, tax, payroll in-house; design scalable processes and controls; build internal team and vendor model.
• Accounting & Operations: own procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, monthly close, treasury and fund accounting; oversee consolidation across subsidiaries.
• Regulatory Finance: support FINRA broker-dealer and SEC investment adviser operations; collaborate with auditors and tax advisors for filings.
• Planning & Partnership: lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning across advisory, capital markets, and direct investment platforms; partner with leadership.
