Job summary

ARCO Companies is seeking a service-oriented attorney with 5+ years of transactional construction experience to join the in-house team. You will draft, review, and negotiate construction and commercial agreements, and work closely with stakeholders nationwide to align contracts with business objectives.

You will manage documentation, mitigate risk, and contribute to training for non-legal operators. A collaborative, organized, and proactive approach is essential to succeed in our fast-paced

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with 5+ years of transactional construction practice.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction contracts at scale.
• Ability to understand Owner/Subcontractor/Contractor viewpoints and lead negotiations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate, and manage construction and commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with the legal team across the United States to implement enterprise-wide risk approaches.
• Coordinate with project managers to align business objectives with contract terms.
• Maintain and organize all construction contract documentation and day-to-day issues.
• Prepare and present training on legal issues in construction to non-legal staff.
• Assess and mitigate ARCO’s risk and manage vendor relationships.
