Job summary

The City of Moline is seeking a Construction and Maintenance Supervisor responsible for coordinating and supervising the installation and maintenance of water and sewer service lines. The role requires excellent supervisory skills, familiarity with heavy equipment, and the ability to read blueprints. This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position with a work schedule from Monday to Friday and is subject to a 24/7 on-call rotation.

REPORTS TO: Superintendent of Meter Management or Operations Coordinator

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

CLASSIFICATION: Personnel System; Requires satisfactory completion of a six month probationary period.

PAY GRADE: 116

SAFETY SENSITIVE: Yes – CDL; Subject to random drug testing per the Athens-Clarke County Drug and Alcohol Ordinance.

Purpose of Job

The purpose of this job is to perform supervisory/manual work functions associated with coordinating the installation of new construction water/sewer taps and services. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising and participating in installation, maintenance, and repair of water and sewer service lines; reading and interpreting blueprints; operating heavy equipment; maintaining records; supervising assigned staff; and performing additional tasks as assigned.

Job Related Requirements

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, subject to 24/7 on call rotation.

May be required to work on religious holidays.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Must work cooperatively with others.

When requirements include vehicle operation, responsible for the safety, readiness and operation of the vehicle and must abide by ACC's safe driving policy.
