Job summary

NewEdge Capital Group, LLC, is seeking an Assistant General Counsel in PA, Pittsburgh, to serve as deputy to the General Counsel, handling litigation, arbitrations, and regulatory matters. You will manage a caseload end-to-end, coordinate with outside counsel, and liaison with Compliance on regulatory exams; travel occasionally.

This role requires a J.D., Pennsylvania bar preferred, and at least five years of litigation experience in financial services; strong writing and risk communication

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership (Pennsylvania preferred).
• 5+ years of litigation experience in firm and/or in-house settings.
• Financial services or regulated industry background preferred (securities, banking, broker-dealer/RIA).

Responsibilities

• Manage NECG’s caseload of litigation, arbitrations, and mediations end-to-end.
• Review pleadings, briefs, discovery, and settlement documents with outside counsel.
• Prepare witnesses and coordinate logistics for hearings and arbitrations.
• Evaluate reserves in partnership with finance and insurers.
• Lead regulatory examination responses with Compliance.
• Mentor in-house lawyers and support broader legal needs.
