Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors of Northern Virginia is seeking experienced educators to provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to elementary and middle school students in the Fairfax area. Tutors guide students in core subjects and help develop confidence and independent learning in a home setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Virginia teaching license or equivalent and have classroom teaching experience. Flexible schedule, in-home sessions, and supportive team resources are offered to build meaningful

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher.
• A valid Virginia teaching license/certificate or equivalent credential.
• Classroom teaching experience in elementary or middle school.
• Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners and styles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to student homes.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one tutoring to elementary and middle school students in their homes.
• Support Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and related subjects.
• Adapt lessons to each student’s needs and reinforce classroom instruction.
• Assist with homework, study strategies, and test preparation.
• Track progress and communicate updates to families.
• Maintain a professional, in-home learning environment.
• Travel to students’ homes across Fairfax and surrounding Northern Virginia.
