Job summary

The Arc Eastern Connecticut is seeking In-Home Support Specialists in Norwich, CT to assist individuals with daily living, personal care, and community participation.

Qualifications

• Experience with people who have developmental and physical disabilities preferred.
• Ability to mentor and assist people in life skills including recreation, independence, communication, and health.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer aptitude and ability to speak/write in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities such as meal planning and personal care.
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings.
• Provide transportation to recreational and community activities.
• Support therapeutic and behavioral plans.
