Job summary

Valiant Living in the United States is seeking caregivers to provide services and supports for adults with developmental disabilities in their home setting. You will implement planned programs, attend to health needs, follow behavior plans, prepare meals, clean, and keep accurate records.

The position includes every other weekend as part of the rotation. Starting wage is $20.50 per hour with weekend pay at time-and-a-half ($30/hr).

Qualifications

• Work experience in developmental disabilities preferred.
• HS diploma or GED required; must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in emergencies.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide services and supports for adults with developmental disabilities in their home setting.
• Implement programs as determined by the person’s planning team.
• Attend to health and medical needs and follow behavior management practices.
• Prepare meals, perform cleaning duties and laundry, and maintain records.
