STAR, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Support Counselor to assist adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities in their homes or apartments in Norwalk, CT. The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centered support to help individuals live more independently and participate in daily activities.

Salary begins at $18.50/hour. Full-time schedule 12:00pm-7:00pm with weekend availability. Equal Opportunity Employer.

A Day In The Life Of a Support Counselor

As a support counselor you will be working with individuals who live in a home or an apartment assisting them with daily living skills. Our support counselors work with our individuals in teaching them all the things that can help them lead a more independent life

You would work in tandem with the individual and our in-home supports team to help those we serve learn the skills they need to help care for themselves. You will help the people we support gain more independence, confidence and pride in being able to do things for themselves.

Qualifications For The Job

Schedule
