Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Virginia is seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide in-home evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will work with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to improve communication, safety, independence and quality of life through personalized care.

The role requires a state license, CCC-SLP, CPR, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to that state you are assigned to work (required).
• Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with CCC-CAA-accredited program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for working to prevent, assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in adults.
• Provides aural rehabilitation for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and provides AAC systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
• Other duties as assigned.
