Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Long Beach, CA. If you're committed to making a difference in the lives of students with special needs and helping them achieve academic success, we want to hear from you.

As a Tutor you’ll provide personalized instruction, support daily activities, and deliver tailored instruction based on each student’s IEP in the home environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with special education and IEP-driven instruction.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 in-home tutoring in Long Beach, CA.
• Proficiency in explicit, systematic literacy instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction in foundational literacy with emphasis on reading development.
• Teach letter recognition, phonics, decoding, guided reading, vocabulary, and reading independence.
• Reinforce foundational math concepts with hands-on activities.
• Implement SEL strategies to strengthen emotional regulation and classroom readiness.
• Use positive supports and clear boundaries to encourage participation and engagement.
• Establish routines and appropriate boundaries while reinforcing positive behaviors.
