Tutor Me Education in Los Gatos is seeking an experienced Special Education tutor to provide individualized, one-on-one in-home tutoring for an 8th-grade student. You will use structured, developmentally appropriate instruction to support academic growth.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with Autism and ADHD.
• Strong background in special education or behavioral support strategies.
• Structured, step-by-step math instruction.
• Gentle redirection and support attention/focus needs.
• Female tutor preferred (student is not comfortable with male tutors).

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction in foundational math skills.
• Break down math concepts into clear, manageable steps.
• Support student with focus, attention, and task completion.
• Use visual aids, hands-on materials, and repetition to reinforce learning.
• Implement structured routines and predictable session formats.
• Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to build confidence.
