Job summary

Visiting Angels Boise is seeking a Private Duty Caregiver to support seniors in Boise, Caldwell, and surrounding areas. This role focuses on compassionate in-home care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship.

We offer diverse shift options (FT/PT, days and weekends), training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care, and a benefits package with weekly pay and sign-on opportunities. Join a team dedicated to helping families at home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; compassionate caregiver.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
