Job summary

Visiting Angels Richardson TX is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors across Richardson and North Dallas communities. The role emphasizes companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, medication reminders, assisting with mobility, and transportation when needed.

We offer flexible shifts (full-time, part-time, 8-, 10-, 12-hour options), weekend availability, and ongoing training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience in home or elderly care preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Excellent time management and organization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, respect, and patience for clients.
• Ability to perform light housekeeping and meal prep as needed.
• First aid knowledge and emergency responsiveness.
• Pet friendly environment; caring attitude.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
