Job summary

Visiting Angels seeks an In Home Personal Aide to assist elderly clients in Reading and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include personal care, light housekeeping, meal planning, mobility support, and medication reminders, with emphasis on dignity and home comfort.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6+ months of caregiver experience, reliability, and ability to pass background checks. Benefits include health coverage and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in caring for seniors and/or disabled adults.
• Excellent time‑management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits is a MUST.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Manage light housekeeping tasks.
• Encourage clients to meet exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompt clients to take medications on time.
• Assist with shopping and meal planning/preparation.
• Support mobility and accompany clients to appointments or outings.
