Jovie of San Diego is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide in-home respite care for children with support needs in the San Diego area. If you have childcare experience and enjoy creating fun activities while supporting families, this role offers meaningful impact.

Positions range from part-time to full-time with flexible scheduling. Pay is $18-$20 per hour, plus $2 per hour for each additional sibling.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional childcare experience.
• Ability to work with children of all ages.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Three references (two childcare-related and one character).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, engaging in-home care for children with support needs.
• Create fun activities, including crafts, games, reading, imaginative play, and outdoor activities.
• Help children feel safe through patience, consistency, and encouragement.
• Support daily routines while maintaining a positive, structured environment.
• Communicate with parents about each child's day and needs.
• Build meaningful relationships with local families.
