Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care, Inc. seeks a Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant to provide compassionate, one-on-one care in clients' homes in Dover, Delaware. This role offers flexible full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules and a pathway to advance clinically within BAYADA.

Responsibilities include in-home physical therapy, education, and progress tracking to support patients in achieving independence and dignity in daily living.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification.
• Two-year PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
• Two years of PTA experience with proficiency exam if qualification occurred before 1977.
• At least one year of work under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients in their own homes to aid recovery after injury, illness, surgery, or hospital stay.
• Guide clients from hospital discharge to a safe, independent home life.
• Provide treatments, tests, education, and interventions as delegated by a licensed PT.
• Progress clients from discharge toward meeting personal goals at home.
• Educate patients and/or family members on care plans.
