PT Near Me is hiring a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver skilled therapy in patients' homes across the Tampa area.

As a Tampa-based PTA, you’ll work under a PT plan of care, with pay of $60–70 per hour as a 1099 contractor, flexible hours, and minimal commute thanks to home visits. You’ll educate patients and caregivers, document progress, and help patients regain function in their own homes.

Tampa is one of our highest-volume markets — post-crash and post-surgical patients along I-275, I-4, the Selmon Expressway, and the Westshore/Downtown corridors generate steady PTA referrals every week. As a Tampa-based PTA on our team, your caseload is built around your home base and the visits you accept. Coverage typically extends from South Tampa and Westshore out to New Tampa, Brandon, and Town 'N' Country, with optional reach into Riverview, Plant City, and the Carrollwood/Citrus Park communities. Most days you'll see patients within a 20–30 minute drive of your home, not across the entire bay. Tampa sits in Hillsborough County. I-275, I-4, and the Selmon Expressway drive a steady week-over-week volume of post-crash and post-surgical referrals. Most patient homes sit 20–30 minutes from a South Tampa or Westshore base, so days rarely require full bay-to-bay driving. Communities covered from a Tampa base include South Tampa, Westshore, New Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Town 'N' Country, Carrollwood.

What you'll do:

• Deliver skilled treatment under a PT-authored plan of care in patients' homes — therapeutic exercise, mobility and gait training, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and trigger-point techniques.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, mobility strategies, and safety.
• Document each visit accurately and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Keep every home visit safe and professional.
• Treat a range of cases — post-accident, post-surgical, and chronic-condition patients.

What you need:

• Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Active Florida PTA license (or license-eligible).
• Knowledge of outpatient/home rehab techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to manage your time and service area independently.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping patients regain function at home.
• Home-based care experience preferred.
