Job summary

PruittHealth @ Home is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for Home Health Services to provide therapy in patients' homes under supervision of a physical therapist. Applicants with Cobb, Douglas, or Paulding County, GA commutes get special consideration.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and unrestricted professional license in state of practice.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• If foreign-trained, the program must be deemed substantially equivalent to a Physical Therapist Assistant entry level education in the U.S. by a credentials evaluation organization approved by the APTA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and implementation of the plan of care within goals defined by the physician, patient/patient family and interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and attending physician to develop, integrate, and manage the patient care plan of care.
• Assist the physical therapist in assessing the physical disability and level of function of patients.
• Maintain current license, certification, and clinical records to meet federal, state and agency regulations and guidelines.
• Complete documentation timely, accurately, and at the point of care, according to industry standards.
• Participate in center/agency surveys (Licensure / JCAHO), and any subsequently required reports.
