Job summary

Adventist Health seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide treatments under supervision in home health and hospice settings. You will use modalities, manual techniques and guide patients through bed mobility, transfers, gait and balance activities.

Role includes minimal supervision, potential mentoring of staff, and charting interventions in acute or outpatient contexts, with required licensure and CPR/BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED is required.
• Associate's/Technical Degree or related experience preferred.
• Two years' technical experience preferred.
• Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or outpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical therapy treatments, using modalities and manual techniques.
• Instructs patients through bed mobility, transfers, gait and balance activities.
• Observes treatment precautions and notifies therapists of changes.
• Documents interventions and services in patient charts in a timely manner.
• Provides education to patients and caregivers and assesses learning outcomes.
