Job summary

AM WELL ASSISTANCE SOLUTIONS LLC is seeking compassionate Personal Support Specialists to provide non-medical in-home care for seniors and individuals with disabilities in the Belfast, ME area.

You will help with ADLs, mobility, meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation, companionship, and documentation of client wellbeing, supporting clients to live independently with dignity. This role also requires reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a patient, empathetic attitude.

Qualifications

• Certification: Valid Maine PSS Certification (or willingness to complete training).
• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Transportation: Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and proof of active auto insurance.
• Character: Patient and compassionate attitude toward the elderly with commitment to quality care.
• Physical: Ability to perform lifting, bending, and standing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
• Provide mobility support including transfers and fall prevention.
• Perform light housekeeping and keep living areas tidy.
• Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation per dietary needs.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities or hobbies.
• Escort clients to appointments and assist with errands.
• Observe and report changes in health to supervisor.
