Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home non-medical support to adults and seniors. No experience needed—we train and support you, with opportunities for pay increases and career growth.

Positions available are Full-Time and Part-Time with daytime, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts. Mileage reimbursement may be provided, and you’ll work with a supportive office team, under MaineTouch policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in Maine, or willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No experience required—training and support provided.
• Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, non-medical support to adults and individuals with disabilities in their homes.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and basic hygiene.
• Support mobility and transfers, including use of mobility aids as needed.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, groceries, and errands per care plan.
• Provide companionship and support daily routines or hobbies.
• Observe and report changes to supervisor.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines and maintain client confidentiality.
• Respond to emergencies and follow MaineTouch policies.
