Village Caregiving is hiring In-Home Personal Care Assistants in Newton Falls, OH. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for helping others, apply now!

As a caregiver, you will assist with medication, mobility, personal care, light housekeeping, meals, and transportation to appointments. You will report to nurses and coordinate with family members. No formal caregiver experience required; willingness to learn and adhere to health and safety standards is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance to complete tasks.
• Previous caregiver experience is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility inside or outside the home (appointments, walks).
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other exercises.
• Do shopping or accompany clients to shop when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family.
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
