Job summary

Visiting Angels of Humble is seeking an In Home Personal Aide to support seniors in their homes across Kingwood, Atascocita, Huffman, Dayton, Cleveland and surrounding areas. This role offers flexibility, room for growth, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the community.

You will assist with personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility support and medication reminders, while maintaining safety, dignity and compassionate care in clients' homes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
• Heart for vulnerable people seeking meaningful companionship.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene.
• Managing light housekeeping.
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times.
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them).
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability).
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks.
