Job summary

Visiting Angels Athens is seeking an In Home Personal Aide to support seniors in Athens and surrounding areas, including Eatonton and Madison. You will provide compassionate companionship, assist with daily tasks, and help maintain independence for clients.

This role offers training opportunities in dementia and Alzheimer's care to advance caregiving skills while serving the community with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Run errands or accompany clients to appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Provide a pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Report any unusual incidents promptly.

In Home Personal Aide Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
