Job summary

Visiting Angels Corsicana is seeking an In Home Personal Aide to support seniors in Corsicana, Ennis, Palestine, and surrounding communities. You will provide compassionate care, assist with daily living, mobility, meals, and transportation, and serve as a trusted companion in clients' homes.

Training opportunities include dementia and Alzheimer’s care to help you grow your skills while delivering dignified, respectful support to families in need.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.

In Home Personal Aide Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

In Home Personal Aide Requirements
