Job summary

Visiting Angels Corsicana is seeking an In Home Housekeeper or Caregiver to support seniors in Corsicana and surrounding areas. You will assist with daily living tasks and provide companionship, aiming to improve quality of life for clients.

Responsibilities include medication assistance, mobility support, personal care, meal prep, shopping, light housekeeping, and reporting incidents. Training is available to develop dementia or Alzheimer's care skills.

Qualifications

• Background in home or elderly care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).

• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
