Job summary

Palomacares in Dallas–Fort Worth area seeks an experienced Pediatric Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for home-based pediatric care. You will provide one-on-one care to children in their homes, follow physician orders, monitor and document patient status, and administer medications as part of a comprehensive care plan.

Pediatric nursing experience is preferred but not required. A minimum of two years of nursing experience is encouraged; specialized training is provided for higher-acuity patients.

Qualifications

• Current Texas LVN license is required.
• At least two years of nursing experience.
• Ability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week.
• Strong clinical observation and documentation skills.
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently under a care plan.
• Willingness to complete patient-specific training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in homes.
• Follow established physician orders and care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms and condition changes.
• Administer medications and treatments within LVN scope.
• Assist with feeding, respiratory care, and other procedures after training.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Communicate with supervising nurses, physicians and families.
• Promote patient safety, comfort and continuity of care.
