Visiting Angels is hiring an In Home Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support clients across Richardson, Plano, and surrounding areas. You’ll provide companionship, assist with daily activities, and help maintain wellness per care plans.

The role emphasizes caregiving with compassion, strong communication, and reliable transportation. Training in First Aid is available; competitive wages, PTO, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with light exercise or walks as directed.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients and assist with cooking.
• Perform light housekeeping and home management tasks.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents promptly.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Respond quickly in emergencies and accompany clients on shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Support mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments.

• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks

In Home Patient Care Assistant - PCA Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Minimum 2 Years Professional Caregiving Experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
