Job summary

Visiting Angels of Richardson is hiring in-home PCA caregivers to serve clients across the local area, including Plano. Flexible schedules with day, morning, afternoon, weekend, and short shifts are available, with opportunities for growth.

You'll support clients with daily activities, light housekeeping, meals, mobility, and companionship, while adhering to custom care plans and safety standards. Training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care may be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
• Minimum 2 years professional caregiving experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• First Aid and emergency response training provided if needed.
• Reliable transportation to client homes as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with light exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide companionship and supportive care.
• Respond quickly in emergencies and emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Assist with mobility at home and during appointments.

As a Visiting Angels In Home Patient Care Assistant - PCA, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients

In Home Patient Care Assistant - PCA Job Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Minimum 2 Years Professional Caregiving Experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
