Job summary

Palms Home Care is seeking a reliable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver in-home therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will help patients improve independence and safety in their homes, while documenting visits and collaborating with the care team.

Requirements include a Florida COTA license and an associate degree. Home health experience is preferred, with CPR certification and a valid driver's license required to support flexible travel across

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active Florida COTA license.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare documentation requirements is a plus.
• Familiar with EHR such as Kinnser.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• CPR certification must be current.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, and mobility.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies.
• Accurately document patient visits in accordance with Medicare and home health guidelines.
• Communicate patient progress and concerns to supervising OT and interdisciplinary team.
