Job summary

Collin County Mental Health Retardation Center seeks a clinician to provide direct MST‑based treatment to youth and families in a home‑based model from Plano, TX. You will implement interventions across the youth’s natural ecology and maintain thorough documentation while coordinating with systems involved in care.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or master’s) in psychology, social work, or related field, with licensure under supervision (LPC/LMFT/LMSW) or full licensure preferred;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field from a four‑year college or university with a minimum of three years of experience working with families and/or youth.
• Or Master’s degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or a related subject area.
• Professional licensure as LPC‑Associate, LMFT‑Associate, or LMSW under clinical supervision required; full licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical treatment using MST principles to youth and families through a home‑based model.
• Implement interventions within the youth’s ecology to influence behavior (family, peers, school, neighborhood).
• Conduct MST assessments, manage caseload of 4–6 families, engage key participants.
• Engage primary caregivers and participants in change‑oriented treatment and remove engagement barriers.
• Utilize MST Analytic Process for problem conceptualization and treatment planning.
• Maintain clear documentation supporting MST Principles and processes.
• Collaborate with relevant systems and participate in MST training and supervision.
• Provide services in a person‑centered, trauma‑informed manner.
