Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide one-on-one home health care for pediatric and/or adult patients across multiple Houston-area locations. As a Private Duty Nurse, you’ll deliver individualized care in the patient’s home, with potential weekend and night differentials.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as an LVN in the state in which the LVN will practice.
• Current TB or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• On each assignment, provides skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders
• Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.

Education

Licensed LVN in TX

TB test or Chest X-Ray

BLS certification

One year nursing experience preferred
