Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for private duty home health in the Houston area. The role is available for full-time or part-time schedules, with 8–12 hour shifts, and a focus on one-on-one pediatric nursing in patients' homes.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance
• Minimum of 6 months of pediatric home health experience as an LVN

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care in pediatric patients' homes during 8–12 hour shifts
• Care for children with illnesses, medical complexities, or post-surgery recovery
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs and seizures, manage G-tubes, tracheostomies, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators
• Administer medications and treatments per care plan
• Collaborate with physicians and caregivers to ensure quality outcomes
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
