Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in accordance with physician orders.
• Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs and report changes to supervisor/physician.
• Document activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care in a timely manner.
• Participate, implement and update the nursing care plan.
• Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes.
• Recognize changes in patient needs and implement care to prevent or reduce risk.
• Comply with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations and Nurse Practice Act.
• Provide care with infection control measures according to OSHA standards.
• Educate patient and family regarding disease, self-care techniques, and prevention.
• Maintain knowledge through ongoing education and skills evaluations.
