Job summary

Visiting Angels of Rapid City is hiring caregivers to serve clients throughout the Southern Hills area, including Hill City and Custer. As an In Home Patient Care Assistant, you will enrich the quality of life and support wellness according to each client’s care plan, with flexible schedules and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities include assisting with light exercise, meal planning, light housekeeping, medication reminders, mobility support, and compassionate companionship.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• First Aid and emergency response training is required (provided if needed).
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes as scheduled.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints.
• Willing to comply with health and safety standards (e.g., background check).
• Bring compassion and a desire to brighten each client’s day.

In Home Patient Care Assistant Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
