Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare serves Louisville, Middletown, Jeffersontown, Kentucky and surrounding areas with compassionate end-of-life care for pets in their homes. The veterinarian will practice independently on the road, supported by a team that values mentorship and caregiver well-being.

We offer a schedule built around your life, with 5‑day, 4‑day, and 2–3 day self-managed options; annual base salary options of $80,000 to $95,000 plus quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited program.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Ability to perform in-home visits and handle sensitive conversations with families.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care for pets.
• Work independently in the field with support from a mentorship-focused team.
• Coordinate scheduling (2–5 days/week) and self-managed options where available.
• Deliver compassionate care that prioritizes dignity and comfort for patients and families.
