Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across West Palm Beach, North Palm Beach, Boynton Beach and Palm Beach Gardens in Florida. This role emphasizes compassionate, in-home care with no corporate practice constraints.

We value doctors who can work independently in a mobile environment, with weekend rotational availability and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS veterinary degree required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work independently in a mobile/home-based setting.
• Weekend availability on a rotational basis.
• Physical ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Demonstrated compassion, dignity and respect in client interactions.
• Strong professional communication with teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia veterinary services.
• Communicate compassionately with clients and families during difficult conversations.
• Coordinate care with the Heartstrings Pet Hospice team.
• Maintain client relationships and humane patient care in a home setting.
• Work within schedule with flexible, self-managed hours.
• Ensure safety and proper handling of animals in patient homes.
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions.
